What are you so mad about?

 I am disappointed. 


I felt like I had taken adequate steps to prepare. I had gotten enough sleep. I had eaten a whey protein shake in the morning prior to the match - but not that much solid food. I had not carb-loaded w/ noodles the day prior, and admittedly I hit the vape pen and ate a lot of edibles this week. Yet still, I was optimistic that I could pull-out a win in my S1 tennis match at West Winds on 05.04.2025 at 1:00 pm ET. (is that too optimistic? is that too arrogant?) 


I lost the 1st set 3-6 after a shakey performance serving and returning. Alex did not play a particularly aggressive brand/style of tennis. 


I will focus on myself. I will tune-out anything that is external. Even if it is occasionally shaken, I still believe in myself. I will have the confidence to continue betting on me. It is always inconsequential what other people want from me, think about me, expect from me, whether they respect me. All is of no consequence. 


Make adjustments. React. Focus on me. 


what do they gain from exerting control over my behavior to improve what may be their own end.
